This book was entirely the brainchild of author Ted Halm. He had found a plastic toy dinosaur when he was 8, and the memory of it had stayed with him through adulthood, when he wrote a poem about it.

Decades later, he wanted to turn his writing, about dinosaurs travelling through time to discover with horror what humanity had done to the environment, into a comic of sorts.
